Tajikistan-Iranian talks took place in Palace of Nation in Dushanbe, following which a package of cooperation agreements was signed.
President Emomali Rahmon and President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi adopted the Joint Declaration of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran today.
President Rahmon and President Raisi witnessed the signing of an agreement for the extradition of prisoners, a memorandum of understanding on economic and technical cooperation, technical protocol between the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan and the Customs Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran on electronic exchange of customs information, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of tourism, as well as one between the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of Population of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare of Iran in the field of technical and vocational education, and another memorandum on cooperation between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The set of documents also included a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan and that of Iran in the field of agriculture, and yet another on cooperation between the Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of sports.
